Modern Painting Schools

      Art is immortal. Everyday appears new and new trends in it. And mostly it depends from people’s fantasy. And people’s fantasy is endless. Today a contemporary art is very popular. It is the art that was formed in the recent past and nowadays. Sooner or later this kind of art will figure in history and will become the property of the people. There are several styles in it. The first one is abstract expressionism. It is a school of painters who paint big and fast paintings. The principle of this school is spontaneity that helps to impress images from subconscious. There are no objects there - only feelings and emotions in paintings. Artists of this style are Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Willem de Kooning.
      Pop art is a school in avant-garde painting of 50-60 years of XX century. It was appeared in oppose to non-objective abstract expressionism. It characterized bright and contrast colors. The source of their inspiration was glossy magazines, ads, television, and photography. It returned object to art, object concerning with life and modern culture. Pop art characterized new technique methods photoprinting, using slide projector, real subjects and objects and so on. The most famous artists of this school are Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Peter Blake, and Roy Fox Lichtenstein and so on.
      Photorealism is one more school of contemporary art. This painting school appeared in the USA in the end of 1960th and spread in 1970th in Europe. The word Photorealism was invented by Louis Meisel in 1968. The base of the style is photograph. Photorealists collected their images with the help of camera. The first generation of photorealists included Richard Estes, Ralph Goings, and Audrey Flack and so on.
